She had to cut down her favorite tree but the master turned it into a real masterpiece

Sarah, a resident of Everett, Washington, bought her house because of the majestic 110-year-old 6-meter cedar in the yard.

However, after a few years, the tree began to dry out and became dangerous. City officials insisted that it be removed.

Luckily, local woodcarver Larry Carter, known for his amazing wooden masterpieces, found out about Sarah’s dilemma and offered to help her.

He didn’t even bill her for his work, only asking her to pick up the remains of the tree for his future work, according to HeraldNet.

Although Larry admitted to KOMO News 4 in the video below that he had never used a chainsaw in woodcarving,

he still took the job with determination because he saw real value in fulfilling Sarah’s dream of a so-called ‘public library’ about which she thought for years.

This would allow neighbors to come and borrow books for themselves and their family members, read and leave books for others.

This idea has been successfully implemented. Sara posted a huge amount of reading material there,

and her ‘library’ became extremely popular. In addition, her favorite tree received a second life.

And where did the remains of the cedar tree go? Larry told the news channel that he managed to make about 50 animal

carvings from Sarah’s cedar for a local fair. Among other things, he carved fish, dogs, bears and flowers.
